SM：日本で特にやりたいと思っていることはありますか?
エイミー：東京の新しいライブハウス ”Shibuya Milkyway” に出演するんだけど、とても楽しみにしているよ。それと、去年のKMCのショーケース会場 “Atlantiqs”（心斎橋）にもまた行きたい。
スザンヌ：ただ僕らの音楽をプレイして、日本のファンたちと一つになれたらいいね。
カム：古いものと新しいものを融合させ爆発させる日本という国が、どんなものを見せてくれるのか、とても楽しみにしている。僕と同じぐらい音楽が大好きな日本人に会いたい。それに、東京！東京は魅力的だよ！
SM：オーストラリアでのショーと日本でのショーのいちばん大きな違いは何でしょう?
スザンヌ：僕は、日本人は、それまで聴いたことのない音楽でも、とにかく音楽を聴くことが本当に好きなんだと思う。
カム： 日本にいる友だちに聞いたんだけど、日本人はいつでも音楽が大好きだと言ってた。アーティストが誰であろうとかまわない。日本人はライブを見に行くのが好きなんだ。日本では、素晴らしいプレーさえすれば、みんな見に行くと言ってた。
エイミー：日本でのゴールはみんな同じさ。素晴らしい音楽を作って、素敵な時間を過ごすのさ。
SM：ライムアビュースの音楽はどんな感じですか? 影響を受けたバンドはありますか?
スザンヌ：僕が影響を受けたのは Heart や Led Zeppelin といった、70年代のファンタスティックなロック。ライムアビュースの音楽は、それらのサウンドとアグレッシブなサウンドが融合したもの。へビーギター・リフをやったり、ハーモニーで歌ったりするのも好きさ。
カム：ライブ・ロックと素晴らしいヴォーカル、それに僕らが影響を受けた音楽がミックスされてる。僕は昔からヘビーメタルが大好きだ。そして、エイミーとスザンヌがグルーヴとソウルを教えてくれた。
エイミー：僕は、オーディエンスをじっとさせておかない音楽が好きなんだ! 我を忘れてしまうほどのね…

Shalestone Music: So you were in Japan last year and are looking
forward to doing a debut tour in August, 2010. What’s your overall impression of Japan and the music scene here?
RhymeAbuse - AMY(drums/vox) : Japan is amazing!! The lights, the sounds,
the excitement! There is so much energy I just can’t wait to be a part of it! People are so friendly, especially at
gigs, we heard and met many great musicians… looking
forward to being a part of it.
SUZANNE (bass /vox): I think it's a great scene and I love the way the
backline is provided for the gigs.
CAM (guitar/vox): I’ve
never been to Japan, so I’m, well, I’m the most excited member of RhymeAbuse ever. The most amazing bands
I’ve heard
in the last few years are from Japan, and I can’t wait to see where they’re from.
SM: Do you have anything in particular that you’re looking forward to doing in Japan?
AMY: I am especially excited about Tokyo and playing at Shibuya Milkyway. I am also excited about Osaka and revisiting Atlantiqs.
SUZANNE: Just hanging out to be playing really and connecting with the
Japanese audience.
CAM: I can’t wait to see what a country
that embraces the explosion between old and new cultures with such excitement
can show me. I want to meet people who love music as much as me. And Tokyo… Tokyo is
sexy!
SM: What do you think are the biggest differences between shows in Australia
and shows in Japan?
SUZANNE: For me, I noticed that people are really interested in listening
to the music, even if they haven't heard it before.
CAM: Friends of mine in Japan tell me how much people love music all the
time. It doesn’t matter who you are, people go out to see live music. If you play great
music, then people will be there to see you play.
AMY: Everyone is for the same goal in Japan… to make great music and have a
good time.
SM: How best would you describe your music? What are your major
influences?
SUZANNE: My influences are Heart, Led Zeppelin pretty much all the fantastic
rock that was around in the 70's..RhymeAbuse music for me is a mixture of that with an aggressive edge. We love to play big riffs and sing lots of harmonies.
CAM: Live rock with great vocals, and a mix of all the influences we have.
I’m a metalhead, and always have been. Amy and Suzanne taught me to play
with groove and soul.
AMY: I love music that makes you
move! Get lost in the experience…
