MEZCAL JAZZ UNIT (France)

MEZCAL JAZZ UNIT was founded in 1986 in Montpellier and is led by the bass player and composer, Emmanuel de Gouvello. The music reflects the singular and diverse identity of the group and its relevance to current European jazz streams. Their music is defined by the Mediterranean temperament of its musicians, the reminiscences of traditional melodies, an unabashed attraction for the Orient, a rock like energy and a sense of humor. The music goes from cool and reflective to joyous and explosive connecting to the audience with rare complicity.

小川紀美代（バンドネオン奏者）

ほぼ独学で奏法を学び、2001年単身ブエノスアイレスへ渡る。2003年、2017年、アルゼンチン最大の音楽祭であるコスキンフェスティバルに日本代表として２度の出演、2010年在ボリビア日本大使館事業コンサートを含む南米縦断ツアー。2018年、ブエノスアイレス録音。アジア各国のアートフェスティバルへ招聘されるなど美術、映像、演劇との共演多数。2021年からパリ、南仏を行き来し、ツアーやレコーディングを重ねる。2025年、ベトナムツアー、2026年は東京都交響楽団との共演など、ジャンルや国境を越える演奏活動を行っている。
